The Berryhill Blue and Gold Brigade undefeated in their 2005 season.

The Brigade finished first in class 3A at the Owasso Tournament of Bands, Union Renegade Review and the Oklahoma Bandmasters Association State Championship contest.  In addition, for the first time, Berryhill marched in the finals competition at all three contests.

In finals at Owasso, competing with 11 – 6A bands, Berryhill finished sixth.  At Renegade Review, competing with bands from Oklahoma and Missouri, the Brigade finished tenth.  At the Oklahoma Bandmasters 1A through 3A State Championship, Berryhill swept the contest, receiving all caption awards – High Music, High Visual and High General Effect in preliminary and finals competition.  They were the Grand Champions for the second year in a row.

The Brigade traveled to St. Louis over Fall Break to perform in the Bands of America Super-Regional contest where they competed with bands from the Mid-West.  In St. Louis they received the High Music caption award in their class.

Finally, the Brigade, earning straight ones, received a Superior rating at the OSSAA Regional Marching Contest.  Earning a Superior at regionals is the first step towards becoming a Sweepstakes band, the highest award a band program can receive in Oklahoma.

Congratulations to all that put forward many hours of hard work.
